Laying A Foundation Mindful Market seeks to lay a strong foundation of love and compassion as we build towards the education and empowerment of children and community. Thank you for taking time to read and learn more about our projects.
This week we started laying the foundation for the building which is going to serve both as a Nursery School and Community Center.
This buildings located in Kitumba Subcounty, Nyambungu Cell, near Lake Bunyoni. The nearest school is a 45 minute walk away. The building will two classrooms and a small office. In the mornings the building will be used for the Nursery school students (ages 3-6).
In the afternoons and on the weekends the building will serve as a youth center, crafts center, and teacher training center. Our youth program will target needy and at risk children giving them opportunities such as tutoring, sports, arts and crafts and income genterating activities.
Our crafts program will be lead by our senior crafts woman, Innid Kyomuhindo. This Mindful Market project is to help girls and women in our community by having experienced craft women teach new learners.
